My PC just arrived. I am mostly sure the graphics card will fit. The motherboard is MSI P965 Neo with LGA775 socket and 533/800/1066FSB. The 2 better processors they sell nearby that I assume will fit are E7200 and E7300. I can't see any better atm and do not want to buy a new motherboard. Is there any better one? I will ask the salesman to advice me on a good cooler and might leave them to replace my processor, although it doesn't seem that hard to do.
OK just correct me if I am wrong, I remove the old processor and cooler. Put the new one in, then put a drop of the paste on it and put back and new cooler in the same way the old cooler was. I will see where the old paste was and try copy exact how it was. Replacing the graphics card is childsplay.

It seems it had more support than I thought or something coz it seems to support some processors with 1333 FSB http://global.msi.com.tw/index.php?func=prodcpusupport&prod_no=1275&maincat_no=1&cat2_no=170&cat3_no=#menu

You can stick any Intel Core2 (Duo or Quad) processor you wish in that socket.
Edit: I had a look that list is pretty inclusive.

Great now I have to find alcohol from somewhere...
I was looking towards the E8400 which I am pretty sure will work fine. Hopefully the underclocking is automatic. Might need a 550W power supply for the GTX280 but thts negligible cost.

The 550w should be ok.It depends mainly on how many drives your planning to use, apart from the power needed for your graphics card.
Failure is not an option!
