Dragoons!
As I approach the release of my leadership message, I will still release my Hidden Agenda. A funny old week has seen raid discussions, raids itself, copycats and some rather strange people cross our path. With this being the week of our anniversary, things are very unique especially considering that this will be our forth year together. With all the celebrations that will be commencing there is alot to get through over the next few days, and I thank those inside of the guild that has already been very helpful and co-operative.
This week the guild finally settled on the way we shall approach raids and our plans for what we shall do. The guild had a good discussion at last nights Guild Meeting and settled on an auction DKP. Basically what happens is that members earn DKP for various reasons, and when it comes to an item drop, member send me a private whisper and must auction for an item with their DKP, the highest bid wins the auction.
Raids have been a unique standpoint for me. Although many members that have joined us here in World of Warcraft are relatively experienced with all that comes with raids, for us old school Dragoons it is quite new. Apart from a few other MMOs (which we generally didn't like), raids have been something of a non-entity, we have never had to worry about them. Approaching the idea of Raids was quite unique, having actually done some, it's not as complicated to organize for as some myths would have you believe, but I did spend alot of time reading different loot systems, tactics, and organization tips. Being a leader that has survived to some degree for some time, I have learnt the importance of seeing all points of view from many sources. The leadership team take great care in choosing the best system, without losing the unique edge in which we bring to every circumstance.
I must say I quite excited to see how the raids go down in the Dragoons, I for one, think being as we are, it will be a most unique and exciting experience. Especially for those who have raided with guilds unlike our own.
Well take care, enjoy the anniversary celebrations, and a have a good one!
