The Dragoon Rules

The Dragoon Brotherhood began it's roots in a now closed MMO called The Matrix Online. Since then we have grown to try many different games together and have enjoyed success together over the years. Being a Dragoon doesn't just mean you are part of a group, it means you are a friend, a brother, family. These are the traits which strengthen our core, and we can proudly say that throughout the years we have retained, dedicated, strong, enjoyable members that feel as close as any real life friend.

Overall Mission Statement

Over the years The Dragoon Brotherhood has travelled many MMOs and has touched a large amount of communities in our own way. We do not exist for any one specific game, and can and will divide our time to other games. Our aim is to meet and play with members and expand our superb community to achieve our goals without sacrificing the very thing that makes us brothers. We can proudly say that we have members from all over the world and we have retained all types of members for a number of years. It is with all this in mind, that we aim to accomplish everything that can be done, while utilizing our core strengths of friendship, teamwork, respect, itegrity and most importantly brotherhood.

Core Rules
The Dragoon Brotherhood only accepts members into its ranks that are of similar personalities, goals and values to its own. All of our members support and follow our core guild rules and anyone who cannot, is removed. Our core rules and values have served us well since 2006 and continue to be the guiding principles behind moving the guild forward.

The most important thing to remember is that if you are in this guild, you are agreeing to the rules.

Also remember that being a member means you are on vent. If your playing an MMO with us, you have to be on ventrilo, 100% of the time. If you're not cool with that, you're not cool with us.

And finally, we don't tolerate you being on another vent/TS/Skype. This is un-acceptable to us, and causes more issues than needed. Make a decision, us or your friends, if you choose your friends, fine, but here that's not what we seek.

Respect
A Dragoon must always have respect for a fellow brother. You should do everything to help a fellow brother, and swear allegiance to a fellow brother. You should maintain respect of a brother's privacy and should never give away any personal information of which is shared with you. Never give out information on the guild, without the authority. You should also have maximum respect for the leadership, follow your seniors, never dis-respect them, and never think you can take your own initiative in a situation without the authority to do so. TheHidden01 is the King, and leader, you serve him first, and no one else before him.

Honesty
A Dragoon is honest and right to their brothers. When things happen, be honest, and help improve the situation. Never seek to be deceitful, or to trick a fellow brother, and do everything you can to tell the truth. On top of this, if you go away then post on our absense thread and let your brothers know. Remember, leaders are not responsible for remembering absenses, you are, and the best way to do this, is by posting in the absense forums.

Unity
The Dragoons believe so very strongly in respect, and teamwork. Always fight and work together, and when it comes to conflict do everything to make sure your brothers win. A Dragoon lives by a philosophy in combat, "One on All, All on One". This basically means if someone disrespecting the Dragoons, you fight them, no matter what, and if someone attacks a Dragoon, all Dragoons are responsible for fighting, no Dragoon sits out.

Knowledge
A Dragoon is responsible with learning the best way to earn the respect of their members. A Dragoon should do everything they can to be aware of events, rules, ranks, and get to know their fellow members. Learn about them and understand who they are. You are responsible at the very least in the Dragoons it to learn every piece of information about us as possible.

Friendship
The most important part of the Dragoons, bar all the rules, is friendship. Work to make friends, and be a go to guy no matter what. Always put the Dragoons first, and focus only on Dragoons. This means no connection with any other guilds. Do everything you can to be there for your brothers, and never let them down. When the Dragoons recruit, we recruit you for WHO you are, not the class, or the character you play.

The way we see it, you break one, you break them all.

Dragoon Ranks

Potential
The newest members of the Dragoons. At this rank they are un-learned members of the Dragoons who are still learning the first priciples of what we are about. They must pass the first stage of Boot Camp to advance.

Responsibilities:- To learn the rules and rankings of the Dragoons.
Privaleges:- Allowed to attend Dragoon events, and limited access to guild resources.

Initiate
After passing the first boot camp, they will go onto stage two. There are not many differences to Potential at this rank, but they do get a full ventrilo account. They must pass the second stage of Boot Camp to advance.

Responsibilities:- To prepare for the second Boot Camp.
Privaleges:- Same as Potential, except with full ventrilo access.

Soldier
After passing their first two boot camps they will be promoted to Soldier and given slightly more privaleges after having learnt the core priciples of the Dragoons. At this rank they are expected to prepare for the final Boot Camp stage.

Responsibilities:- Continue passing the Boot Camp.
Privaleges:- Additional access on the forums.

Knight
Once a recruit has passed the Boot Camp, they will become a full member in everything. They will be given membership access across the board and have freedom of speech throughout guild meetings and other events. This is our full member rank, and during this time a Knight will remain with their crew.

Responsibilities:- Maintain respect for their Crew, and learn the ways of the Dragoon.
Privaleges:- Full Membership Access to Dragoon property

First Mate
Once a Knight has shown promise they maybe chosen by their Captain to be a First Mate. A First Mate is the assistant to the Captain, and second in command of the crew. Their Captain will teach them the recruitment process, and together the two will work on the prosperity of the crew.

Responsibilities:- Learn the recruitment process, and be responsible with crew management.
Privaleges:- Basic recruitment privaleges, second-in-command to a Captain.

Captain
After proving themselves as a very strong influence as a leader underneath the Captain, a First Mate will be promoted to Captain. A Captain forms their own crew, under their own gaming style, and is responsible with recruitment, member management at the basic level, and dealing with the day to day running of the crew. Every Captain is expected to recruit until they reach a crew size of 6, and will also be asked to choose a First Mate when they are ready.

Responsibilities:- To look after their crew.
Privaleges:- An entire crew.

Marshal
After proving themselves as a Crew leader, a Captain can be promoted to a Marshal. Marshal's lose their crew but begin duties of looking after two crews. The Captains will report to the Marshals as the Marshals make sure tasks are completed inside of the crew and monitor the Crew Captains. Marshals will also work directly with a Grand Marshal to make sure things are done smoothly.

Responsibilities:- To manage two Captains and to oversee targets
Privaleges:- Responsible overseer of two crews.

Grand Marshal (Rank 2)
A Grand Marshal or more commonly called Rank 2, is a Captain that has proven great leadership and has therefore been promoted to a senior Captain. A Grand Marshal manage large departments in the guild, and sit on a council of Grand Marshals that work as an advising team to the King. Often a Grand Marshal is a very experienced and respected member that has proven the tests of time. On top of this, they set targets for a total of four crews and manage the Marshals to carry out those tasks.

Responsibilities:- To manage their division, be a good councillor, and to manage their crew.
Privaleges:- Membership on the council and massive respect

Consigliere
The Consigliere is the Chief Advisor to the King and remains so until otherwise decided. The Consigliere is a very unique rank that is very personal to the King. Their job is to give advice on whatever the King needs, and to keep an eye on the Underboss to make sure the buffer is working smoothly between them. The Consigliere is often an extremely loyal, and well-practiced member that is deeply trusted by all. The current Consigliere is Demon Fury.

Underboss
The Underboss is second-in-command of the Dragoons and has final say on all matters below the King. The Underboss heads the Grand Marshal team and keeps them in check, and relieves the King of any jobs, working effectively as a partner. The King and Underboss, work extremely close together, and should the King go away, the Underboss resumes full command. Unlike other positions, the Underboss is chosen once a month out of the Grand Marshals and serves for one month. If they are re-elected they can serve a total of three months until they have to step down. The current Underboss is Marshy.

King
The King is the outright leader of the Dragoons and can add, change, do anything, whenever they feel the need too. There is always only one King and that is currently TheHidden01.

Responsibilities:- Lead the guild.
Privaleges:- Everything.
