Do you think people should be forced to group in MMOs?

As we all know MMOs are for multiplayer communities, yet, and especially theme park MMOs, this rarely happens now.

Do you think that games should force casuals and solo's to group? For example 1-20 solo, then on from that maybe some solo, but mainly grouping.

What do you guys think?

don't really like grouping with outsiders whatever the content in the game might be.

Yeah been playing swtor and the heroics are so fucking annoying because in an empty game like that you need to be waiting to get people for a while and its outsiders you wait for as well.

But id say it gives you the chance at least to meet cool people that would fit this community, i met one for example who actually enjoyed dueling but he was already in some random guild.

I'd say it should be an added option to MMO's always. A hard type of quest that rewards players for playing well basically.

Absolutely, if its a game where you are supposed to play multiplayer why not make it so you can't go on without anyone to play. Nowdays people can just play a multiplayer game as a single player one.

I know that companies have to think of ways to maintain a player base, and there will always be people who complain about being forced to group up as well as those who complain about the lack of multi-player options. (Not talking about us btw)

I think it would be a fantastic idea if there was an MMO that had all players start down one storyline, but at a certain point, split into two completely different resolutions to it depending on weather the player opted for group play or solo play. That way, the solo players could do their thing and see the story from one perspective while group players see it unfold from another.

Something special that you miss out on if you choose to solo, but doesn't stop you from still getting a fulfilling ending. And it would be solely decided on the preference of the player. Not forced, but decided. That way, you know what kind of people you're playing with.
