The game looks much better than I imagined, characters look original and nicely detailed, the ships very realistic, backdrops look rich in variety. I confess that I am intrigued.

I dont know if you are talking about mine or Codes pics there Rider but Im running on lowest Avatar detail because I lag in towns so they are probably a lot better than that (my ship detail is highest though)

Heres a fresh load of pics.

This Dutch West India Tradesman didnt want to hand over his cargo...

My Stralsund may look small but it has the most and heaviest guns of the Dragoon fleet. As this Cerebus Frigate found out.

This guy had the bad luck/judgement to get himself with Wayne on one side and Me on the other, he didnt last much longer.

Ooh pretty sunset, it would be a little stupid to ignore the cannonballs flying towards you though.

A long range broadside at a Traders Galleon, you cant beat the attention to detail that the crew are covering their ears.

No combat here just thought it looked nice, Wayne on the left, me on the right.

This game is very fun to take screenies in Wink

My first draft of the Dragoon Flag for Potbs. I think I stuck to most of the rules of making a flag, it looks pretty weathered. Im going to see if they accept it then maybe change it a bit if they have any criticisms.

I know its small but thats the size its got to be.

As someone who's done a lot of user content already (I've got a number of generic british, spanish and pirate flags and sails... I'm not touching the damned french!) I thought I'd throw what I know about the stuff into this thread before doing something different in the pirates area.

    Anyway, your flag design:

In itself a very solid design. There's nothing too modern about it but I'd say be careful about the font choice in this as it fills a lot of the flag. Equally, don't use the weathering that you've done on the colour, that's the sort of weathering that looks dangerously fake at times and increases the chances of it being rejected.

The best bet if you wish to personalise a flag more is to either use textures or the more recognised wind weathering.

In your case, I've done simple texture overlays, however you'd be better to do these yourself on the larger original that I'm sure you've got.

Textures can be found here for the different colours and also here for main flag colour levels

Plus, to give you an idea of a weathered flag, I'll show you a very simple existing pirate one that I made and is now in the game:

Well no worries on it being rejected cause it was approved a few days ago, it was kinda my test to see if I could get a flag I made in 5 mins approved Wink Ill make some changes like you suggested and re-submit probs.
