unless this is a free exspansion like they are in eve-online i would say its a wow copy-cat idea to milk more money and sounds like a rushed project probably with more bugs then AoC had on release

but hey ill see how its looks when it gets abit closer and they release some info aslong as they dont raise the lvl cap im happy hate that shit dont want to grind everytime they feel like making a new money cow

Yeah, my point exactly. Funcom shouldn't already be working on an expansion, dev's should be dedicated to fixing bugs, balancing classes and adding new content. And if they really have to then it should be free (Which I expect this not to be)

Am i the only one thinking about this differently?

What if its their plan to put all major changes in the expension?

All patches to fix bugs, all big downloads, directly put into the expension..

Might be more to it then just an expension, perhaps they have the idea to bring out an expension just to cut down the patch downloading for new players (presuming you buy the expension right away), and for people that reinstall...

I'm not certain but it could be the reason why it comes so quickly after the release.

Think it over, somewhere it DOES make a bit of sense...

On the other hand, it gives players the idea they wish to keep it like this... wich i certainly do NOT hope... but again.. think about it, and they cant leave it like this..

Numbers allready going down as we speak, so they'll notice soon enough they have got to move, and perhaps delay the expension.

Nope, i'm gonna have to completly disagree with ya.
Firstly if Funcom plans on putting fixes into an expansion then thats a really bad move. Bug fixes should come thick and fast, and most importantly for free, thats what everyone is paying a subscription for, right? Remember this expansion is coming out in early 2009, by that time they'll have lost alot of customers.
